The AAFM High School Group began this school year with an exploration of Quakerism. In October, two members of the Meeting and
Quaker scholars spoke to the group about Quaker history. Topics included early Quakers and Quaker involvement in Michigan and Ohio.
In November, the group will discuss international Quakers (particularly in Kenya) and current Quaker ministry through healthcare reform.
The group meets every Sunday during 11am workshop. High school attenders leave worship, with the rest of the Meeting’s children, at around 11:20.
If you are a Quaker teen or are a high school student who is curious about Quakerism, please feel free to join us!
